There have been reports of fake social media accounts, such as that of a certain Hannah Lopez, pretending to be Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) employees asking members of the Judiciary and other social media account users for money or other favors. The JBC is not, in any way, connected with Hannah Lopez.

The JBC will never ask for money or other favors in exchange for performance of its regular duties and we strongly denounce such actions.

Please report any such accounts or incidents immediately to the JBC through jbc@judiciary.gov.ph. Thank you.

Mission of the JBC1

  • To  recommend appointees to the Judiciary only persons of proven competence, integrity, probity and independence;
  • To enhance the quality of the search, screening and selection processes of the Council;
  • To speed up the processing of applications for vacancies especially for salas with heavy caseload;
  • To promote transparency and public awareness of matters involving the nomination process in the Council;
  • To insulate the nomination process from undue influence of any kind.
